It is extended to the Union Territory Goa, Daman and Diu by the Goa, Daman & Diu (Extension of the Indian Easements Act) Act, 1978 (Act 16 of 1978), published in the Official Gazette Series I No. 30 dated 26-10-1978. and came in to force with effect from 01-11-1978.Notification published in the Official Gazette Series- I No. 30 (Extraordinary) dated 27-10-1978.
