Regarding the sharing of pensions between the Government and autonomous bodies

While replying to Starred Question No. 568 in the Legislative Assembly on 5th July 1995, addressed by late Shri Manohar Parrikar, the then Law Minister Shri Dominic Fernandez informed the House that 43 Portuguese laws were still in force in the State of Goa. The details of these laws were furnished in Annexure I appended to the said reply. In that list, this Legislative Diploma No. 2007 appears at Serial No. 42.

This Regulation was passed during the Portuguese regime on 07-07-1960 and lays down the rules regarding the retirement of civil servants who had rendered successive service to the State and to public utility entities, or vice versa. It now appears to have become outdated and no longer retains practical relevance.

However, with a view to making all the laws referred to in the Assembly questions accessible to the public, “Goa Kaido” has undertaken the task of translating the contents of this Legislative Diploma with the assistance of AI.
