State Poultry Development Corporation Limited

The Government of Goa has taken a significant step towards the systematic development, regulation and modernization of the poultry sector through the incorporation of the Goa State Poultry Development Corporation Limited on 27 July 2026. The Corporation aims to promote poultry production, processing, procurement and marketing, while strengthening infrastructure, bio-security, quality standards and public awareness. It will also facilitate organized poultry farming, hatcheries, feed and allied products, and regulate poultry trade in accordance with applicable guidelines. With the active participation of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services and experienced senior officials as its subscribers and first Directors, the Corporation is envisioned as an important institutional mechanism for sustainable growth, employment generation and consumer welfare in Goa's poultry sector.
