It is extended to the Union Territory Goa, Daman and Diu by the Goa, Daman & Diu (Laws) No.2 Regulation 1963 (Central Act 11 of 1963) promulgated by the President of India under Article 240 of the Constitution of India, published in the Government Gazette Series – I No. 2 dated 29/5/1964 and came into force with effect from 15-4-1964 as the date appointed by the Lieutenant of Goa G.D.D vide Notification Publish in the Government Gazette Series I No. 16 dated 16-4-1964.
