Maternity Benefit Act,1961

It is extended to the Union Territory Goa, Daman and Diu by the Goa, Daman & Diu (Laws) No.2 Regulation,1963 (Central Act 11 of 1963) promulgated by the President of India under Article 240 of the Constitution of India, published in the Government Gazette Series –I No. 22 dated 29/5/1964 and came in to force with effect from 1st April 1964 as the date appointed by the Lieutenant Governor of Goa, Daman and Diu vide Notification published in the Government Gazette Series- I No.13 dated 31/3/1964.This file contains :-Rules are made by the State Government.Notifications issued by the State Government under the provisions of Act & Rules This Act stands repealed with effect from 21st November 2025, in accordance with Section 164 of the Code on Social Security, 2020.(36 of 2020).
