The High Court of Bombay (Extension of Jurisdiction of Goa, Daman and Diu) Act, 1981

The Goa, Daman and Diu Reorganisation (Extension of the Jurisdiction of the Bombay High Court) Act was enacted to extend the jurisdiction of the High Court at Bombay to the Union Territory of Goa, Daman and Diu, to establish a permanent Bench of the High Court at Panaji, and to abolish the existing Court of the Judicial Commissioner.

The Act came into force with effect from 30 October 1982, as notified by Notification No. G.S.R. 592(E), dated 8 October 1982.
